!ALFRED SHORT PASSES AWAY SATURDAY ( CLIPPING FROM DILLON NEWSPAPER)
Alfred Steven Short, 52 resident in this area since he came to Dillon in 1913, passed away Saturday at Barrett hospital. He had been working for the past 15 years at the Hugh McCaleb ranch at Birch Creek. The remains are at the Brundage funeral paylor pending completion of funeral arrangements.
Mr. Short was born at Glenwood, Utah May 9, 1891. With the exception of nine years spent in Butte where he worked in the mines, he has lived in this area working on various ranches throughout the county.
He is survived by one brother Clayton Short of New York, six sisters, Mrs. Blanchard Standfield, and Mrs. Carl Mast of Dillon, Mrs LaVina Peterson of Salt Lake City, Mrs. Athalia Van Dyke of Lyman, Utah, Mrs. Arno Miller and Mrs. Mary Hansen, both of Palo Alto, California and several nieces and nephews. |
